Protein supplements, no matter what kind it may be, are made from animal or vegetable sources as well. What is the best between proteins of animal or plant depends on a number of factors. There are those who choose not to eat meat or animal products from moral, ethical and religious reasons. There are those who can not afford to see many forms of animal protein aMost of the time. Then there are those who just love the taste of a good steak with good beer served. For our purposes, the comparison of proteins based on these factors:

What is a protein?

The human diet is comprised of three macronutrients and many micronutrients. Unlike carbohydrates and fats, the body not only save the protein, is a daily necessity. This shouldnot a free license to eat unlimited protein are confused, because your body can and will not need to store calories in protein, such as fat, but does so with greater difficulty. Proteins are vital to every cell in the body and play a role in a number of important functions. Half of the protein, which we will use our diet to produce more enzymes to digest the food, make, make new cells and neurotransmitters, which in turn send nerve messages around the body.

Protein plays an importantRole in the creation of RNA and DNA, the building blocks of life, and the carrier or our genetic material. The proteins involved in the production of contractile muscle tissue, connective tissue and cell membranes and the formation of bone matrix and helps to maintain fluid balance maintained. It regulates the pH balance of blood, worked on the production of hormones and enzymes that play a role in digestion and helps in sleep regulation and ovulation. Beyondimmune function contributes to the body because antibodies are proteins. (Source: Nelson 2009)

proteins complete than incomplete

Proteins are broken down into amino acids during digestion, absorbed, and then used to make new amino acids. The body can not be eight of these amino acids, which are called essential amino acids. These are leucine, isoleucine, valine, threonine, methionine, phenylalanine, tryptophan and lysine. In children, an additionalhistidine amino acid is added to the list, but most adults can create for themselves. (Source: The Vegetarian Society)

All animal proteins are complete proteins because they contain all eight essential amino acids. vegetable protein, on the other hand are considered incomplete because it contains one or more essential amino acids. For example, cereals, nuts and seeds are low in isoleucine and lysine. Legumes, on the other hand, are low in amino acidsAcids tryptophan and methionine. (Source: Best)

Many people assume that because plant proteins, with the exception of soybeans and soybean products is incomplete, that animal proteins are better. However, with a varied diet vegetarian or vegan, there are more than sufficient sources of protein, all the food and the right amount of protein per day to maintain. In addition, whey protein is the best natural source of branched chain amino acids, the only amino acid metabolized directly toMuscle tissue and first use during exercise and strength training.
